Day 28: More layers, adding some variation to the glitter bits. Also added some contour lines. Looking good, feeling cute. Flex'n all the way to the finish line. I'll probably do another live stream covering the completion. I also have a frame for this but its a bit blah, I have a simple idea for spoocing it up. I'll probably chat about that a bit too.

Day 25: Sometimes I take breaks. Mostly a phone free weekend, lotsa rest & a little Netflix binging. Got some sun. Ate like a king. All recharged & back at it. We are in the final stretch. I'll finish up this last mushroom, do a final pass on color & try to capture some solid photos. I plan to make prints available as well, that might take me a little longer to sort out, cause I'm a total noob. I'll get there though.

Day 24: There isn't enough hours in the day to get all the things done! Yesterday I was chatting over summer plans with a coworker & it struck me that the days are slipping away. Day 23: A few solid days of sun & my mood has significantly improved. A long weekend full of fresh air & good company has significantly improved my mood. I'm on a roll here, getting things done. I'm feel good again about how this piece is going, there was a moment of doubt. Sometimes that happens, sometimes I doubt. We're in the final countdown now. I can see the finish line.

Day 22: Big push on this piece. I had a solid weekend with an old friend & the rest/relaxation renewed my vigor. We were able to road trip around the province & breath in the salt air, see the sights. It was a reminder to me about what's important in life. What I work for, why I endure. Life is good, sometimes its bad but its what we make of it. There are things to do, places to see, memories to make.

Day 20: Finished up the tree bark & grass. Trying not to rush, I don't want to make a mistake but I also want to finish lol. Its been a rough go this week, I've been feeling a bit under the weather & I'm trying to sleep lots to keep whatever it is at bay. So far so good, it hasn't turned into anything more than minor sinus issues & a scratchy throat. I need to tend to some errands this evening, maybe a little live art session. No promises, but maybe. Trying something new with live sketching again. I apologize the camera isn't in focus. I have two cameras and neither one of them want to focus correctly. I'll figure it out. Day 15: I made a little more progress last night, had to call it an early night. I'm feeling run down this morning, I might be going a little too hard. I've been attempting to go warp speed at my 9-5 & go extra at my artistic pursuits. Like many of you I'm contending with mental & physical health issues that are being compounded by a dysfunctional health care system. Long long long waits between appointments, hidden costs, misinformation & a distinct lack of empathy. I've been trying to gain access to a specialty clinic & received a letter in the mail indicating I've been waitlisted & it will be three years or more to gain access to services. I try not to get deeply emotional about this kinda stuff, it is what it is but that news was soul crushing. I'm doing my best to keep my chin up, I got this, you got this, we keep flexing. No ones gonna keep us down.

Day 14: Last night was my first live color session! I think it went well, a couple people joined me & left comments. Felt good, I was sad it had to end. Once I get going on this part of the process, I'm driven to finish. I actually woke up early this morning in anticipation of writing the mornings post. Day 12: Really minor details added today. Spent more time just kinda looking over things, tying up loose ends, adding little elements. The time is upon us for color. Depending on how the day goes, perhaps color this evening or per my usual jam, a short session tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to do some more urban sketching this weekend or I may stick to color on this piece. Time will tell. Either way we are gonna make some art & its gonna be good.

Day 11: Long day yesterday. I feel good about my accomplishments but often it feels like getting one thing done, means another thing doesn't get done. It would be cool if I could summon the energy to just get it all done at once & sometimes I do but its not sustainable. Only for a short period of time is it possible to ramp like that without burnout. I'm gonna have to rein this in soon or I'll inevitably suffer the consequences. On a side note, I've started using mechanical pencils & I'll never look back. Perfection. Color soon!

Day 10: Today I experienced a full launch lol. It is incredibly rare that happens to me. I woke up before my alarm, I didn't feel immediate impending doom. I felt positive about all the things I am going to achieve today. Progressing this piece was at the front of my mind. Most of the final lines are down, I'll probably finish the last bit of linework tomorrow morning. Life is good, seize the moment. Maximum flex.
